On 2009 Lapedona was theater of the swedish reality show "Drommen om Italien", (The Italian dream) presented by beautiful Filippa Lagerback and produced by the swedish channel TV4.
During the reality, 10 swedish couples were occupied in the restoration of an old abode in order to start up a business activity of Bed&Breakfast. The house they restored was the place where in 1853 was born Temistocle Calzecchi Onesti, the Italian scientist who invented the coherer .
Each couple had to interact in Italian with the people of Lapedona and they were asked to know the village culture very well.
During the last episode, the winner couple was decided by a commitee composed exclusively by citizens of Lapedona; the prize was the possibility to open their Bed&Breakfast and continue living in the village.
